"God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can't take credit for this; it is a gift from God."
Ephesians 2:8
The man's arms are outstretched in humble submission to an all-powerful and loving God. Our father loved us so much that he sent his only son to die for our sins so that we might have the precious gift of salvation and eternal life with him in heaven. The man in the painting realizes the TRUE meaning of love and it brings tears to his eyes. He knows that NOTHING he has done is worthy of such a precious sacrifice and nothing he ever does, WILL be.
The loving hand in the background represents the hand of Jesus and his sacrifice and triumph over death. The bird is the Holy Spirit, our guide, protector, and our helper until Christ returns. The light is God the father.
GRACE is my attempt to express a feeling of total thankfulness for what God has done, is doing, and will do. For it is by His Grace that we are saved.
